Consent & Stealthing Awareness
Date: 10th May 2022

The session aims:

• To identify what consent means

• To identify what stealthing means

• To increase your knowledge on Stealthing and the Law

• Identify common myths about sex, sexual violence, rape and consent

• Recognise the difference between consent and non-consenting

• To ensure that you know how to access local sexual health and support services in Lambeth, Southwark, and Lewisham

Healthy Relationships

By the end of the session you will be able to:

• Understand the key components of what makes a healthy relationship

• Help identify some positive and negative signs in relationships

• Address myths around sex and sexual pleasure

• Anatomy and pleasure

• Explore whether people are influenced by messages they receive about sex

• Understand best practices when supporting people around their sexual health

• Signpost people to helpful resources

HIV & Mental Health Awareness

The session aims to provide participants with the following:

  • Knowledge about HIV and How HIV is transmitted
  • HIV prevalence in Lambeth, Southwark and Lewisham (LSL)
  • HIV in the Black and Minority Ethnic populations in LSL
  • An understanding of the links between HIV & Mental Health
  • Knowledge of some common mental health issues
  • Have a better awareness of local sexual health services and support for people living with HIV in Lambeth, Southwark and Lewisham

Consent & the Law

• Identify what consent means and the limitations of simple yes/no model of consent

• Describe some of the factors that may make it difficult to negotiate sexual consent

• The laws around sex and sexual consent
