These are training sessions for professionals working in Lambeth, Southwark, and Lewisham.
Domestic Abuse Awareness
Date: Wednesday 27th July
Time: 10:00 am – 12:30 pm
Place: Webinar

By the end of the session you will:

  • Understand the different forms of domestic abuse
  • Learn statistics around how domestic abuse affects Black and Minority Ethnic populations
  • Hear from survivors and how to support survivors of domestic abuse
  • Learn about local support services in Lambeth, Southwark and Lewisham
Introduction to PrEP
Date: Thursday 28th July
Time: 11:00 am – 13:00 pm

The session aims:

  • Describe how PrEP works
  • Understand possible side effects
  • Identify those who may wish to take PrEP and reasons for doing so
  • Identify where to access PrEP from
STIs and Blood Borne Viruses
Date: Wednesday 3rd August
Time: 10:00 am – 12:30 pm

By the end of the session you will:

  • Can identify a range of the most prevalent STIs
  • Can describe common symptoms, testing and treatment for these STIs
  • Understand which blood-borne STIs we can test for
  • Understand the value of partner notification and how each infection is followed up
  • Be empowered to effectively discuss sexual health with your client
  • Learn about local sexual health services in Lambeth, Southwark and Lewisham and how to access home testing
Lunchtime Quiz: STI Awareness
